“Get a better way of making money” seems to be the only answer here. Finding a job that’s not boring is one way of doing that; finding a way of generating income that doesn’t involve a set daily routine is another. I don’t think the solution to the problem is unique to Japan.
Find a job that rates you by the quality of work you do instead of quantity, or just hand in your resignation letter and rely on social safety nets
I think escaping the rat race happens pretty much everywhere. The best mitigation is really working from home, which thankfully since COVID, my company now allows. But I still need to work!

I do nothing 80% of my days. Literally paid free time.
