  1. I think a way they can intervene would be to allow the bank of Japan to raise interest rates, but change the laws to allow for targeted industry focused loan refinancing to be lower than the rate the BoJ sets.

    Ultimately the objective would be as follows: destroy import pressure demand, reduce carry over trade, and retain the Japanese employment market.

  2. Yeah, right. I don’t even think they can.

    They can not raise interest rates without the state going bankrupt.

    So what are they going to do? Thoughts and prayers for the Yen?

  4. This isn’t rare – they intervened many times when the tables were turned (2008-2011) The effects are ephemeral. If you need to send money, just watch and then when grab a few pcerent, change all your money. Then wait a few months for them to try again.
