I want to send a parcel to my friend who lives in India through JP Post and me and my friend both are concerned about the custom charges, does anyone here knows anything about it ?
The only answer befitting this very vague post is: certain shipments will incur customs fees. And you better ask the Indian subreddit because I don’t think they charge on the way out for anything you could reasonably mail a friend. And you may want to add details as to what you’re planning to send.
If you are sending it then custom charges are absolutely nothing to do with Japan.
If it’s anything or value it doesn’t really matter since it is likely to get stolen before it gets delivered. Source: Two of the three things I have shipped to India got stolen.
