I was watching JoJo and in part 4, one of the characters, Shigechi, always ends his sentences with どう、などう、だどう, it might be a character quirk, but once I noticed I couldn’t NOT notice it. Does that mean anything? Does it add anything to the phrase? It doesn’t sound like it does to me at least, but I’m curious.

It’s just ~ど and while technically it’s a variant of ~ぞ it’s almost exclusively used in fiction to make characters seem somewhat slow, in my experience. (Compare Kansai で, a variant of ぜ which is actually used in real life)
