Strong glue recommendations?

I’m trying to fix a chair so i’ll need something that’s sort of industrial strength, can anyone recommend a brand and where to get it?

edit: to specify, the chair is made of wood but it’s upholstered in fabric. the seat came off the frame and that’s the part i’m trying to glue back to the frame..

  1. Search around for the keyword ボンド or 接着剤. And look for what type of materials you’re trying to glue. I don’t have a particular brand recommendation, I just went to my local home center and compared some, and just bought whatever looks good. They all should work fine.

  2. Just ask for a wood glue at a home center, if you can’t cause of language skills then there’s gorilla glue and that’s written in English so just walk around until you see that. Will do the job. Or go to daiso and get the 2 part epoxy mix stuff, that’ll also hold but you but need to sand down one part to let the parts fit together again

  3. If the chair is made of wood, you need to use Konishi Bond.

If in plastic, then 2 part epoxy is your best bet.

  4. For wood, there are several ‘white’ glues that will work fine–if you’re american, think Elmer’s, or tite-bond. These are water soluble, so cleanup is easy with a wet paper towel or rag.

And for wood, it’s important to get the (two?) pieces to join as perfectly as possible before gluing–the better that is, the better the glued joint will be. Avoid (like _really_ avoid) using the glue as a filler for any gaps/spaces between the pieces. For the best glue joints, good clamping is also important.
