Hello! Would appreciate if anyone can give feedback about my itinerary and answer my queries.
1) Am I spending the right amount of time for each places? I don’t like rushed or slow trips.
2) I’m thinking of getting the Fuji Hakone Pass (27 Feb – 1 Mar) & JR Rail Pass (1 Mar – 7 Mar) & IC Card. Is this worth it?
3) Japan’s Temperature in late Feb / early March will be 5 – 10°C. What type of winter clothing should I bring?

I would change the order of Kawaguchiko and Hakone (but yes it would not work with the Fuji Hakone Pass). It will be easier to get to the shinkansen from Hakone. And not totally sur why Gotemba on the way to Hiroshima, if for shopping, you can do it between Hakone and Kawaguchiko. And if you decide to stick with the order you have, then just take the bus from Kawaguchiko to Mishima station to get on the shinkansen. Or do you plan to take the bus to Gotamba station then the Gotemba line toe Shizuoka, that way you would only use your two pass ? Yes, can work but will be a long ride. If you are fine with it, then I can see hot it can make sense.
AS there is no direct train from Nara to Tokyo, it could make more sense to switch that day and the Arashiyama day for example, that could split the train a bit on who days, well, if it matter to you.
Miyajima is one of my absolute most special places / memories in my life. Completly magical place. We were there during summer, so lots of tourists during the day. But the key was staying overnight. Woke up early the next morning, before the first ferry got in. The village is totally silent, the only sound the little creek, with those tiny deer quietly moving about the shrines. I’ll never forget it.
