Has anyone made a kanji learning system using Japanese keywords?

There are several kanji learning systems that assign keywords to kanji (Kanji Damage, Wani Kani, etc). The ones I’ve seen use English keywords.

For example, when you see 窓 you’re supposed to think Window is made of Hole, Moo Cow and Heart.

It seems kind of obvious to use Japanese keywords instead. So I’m sure someone’s tried it, but it’s hard to Google.

For example, remember 窓 as Mado made of Ana, Mu Ushi and Kokoro.

Do you know of any projects like that on the Internet?

  1. Look up the names of the radicals and components, they all have names

KKLC is a common book that has a lot of this info (Kodansha kanji learners course)
