Working as a chef

I am planning to work in japan but i have heard a lot of negative thing about the way everything works there does anyone have experience in the kitchen in japan? What would you recommend and what would you not recommend.

    However, be aware that you cannot get a visa as a general chef, unless you come to Japan on a Working Holiday Visa. You need to be a *skilled cook in a foreign cuisine*. I’m not entirely sure how you go about proving that, but any restaurant willing to sponsor your visa would likely know how.
