Looking for a good coat in hokkaido

I am currently in sapporo, hokkaido and im looking for a solid formal coat, not down puffer jackets. Budgets around 60,000 yen. Im looking for a mid range coat. Any recommended brands/stores? Vintage/second hand is fine too.

Ive checked out Zara and Uniqlo so far and i dont like their cheap coats.

  1. All Saints are not bad, but with a limited choice and more like 80,000.

Uniqlo has some decent wool coats . . .sometimes. The trouble with Uniqlo is they have dozens and dozens of the same design of coat/sweater/blazer t-shirt etc at the exact same time. The majority are awful, but occasionally they get it right.

  2. You could try Beams, I got a nice formal coat there about 3 years ago. Its held up quite well. They even had a section with larger sizes that fit me perfectly. You can also try Suits Company in susukino, I get all my suits there and I’ve taken notice of the nice coats they have during my most recent visits. Hope you find something you like.

  3. It isn’t formal, but survived a couple of cold snowy winters (Miyagi-ken/Germany) with a Carhartt Detroit jacket. Bought it on Amazon JP. Maybe they have something that looks more formal?

  4. Schott pea coat

There are different quilting levels and they are a solid jacket either for work or casual

  5. You should visit those big department stores like Mitsukoshi and roam around the fashion floors.
