So I just wanted to share my experience of watching Shun on YouTube. When I started Japanese 11 months ago I had quite a bit of difficulty understanding even the Easy podcast of course. 5 months ago I could handle those and started watching his vlog of travels in New Zealand. Now I can understand all of his posts and I’m darned excited about it. I just wanted to recommend to anyone in the first year of study to give it a try for comprehensible input.
In addition he has started a Patreon where you can get the raw unedited videos he’s doing that later he edits and puts up on YT. There are no subtitles and this is REALLY great since it challenges me to listen well but he still holds the conversation level below N3.
Anyhow just my 2 cents worth and a way to give a thumbs up to all the work Shun has done. He doesn’t have nearly the followers he should. 頑張ってください❗

Great work mate
I started listening to his podcast myself a few days ago and I feel like it’s helping other podcasts click into place for me. I’ve made him the first thing I listen to now on my daily podcast routine and I feel like it’s a great warmup. He’s doing a great service!
I find the pace he talks it really good for me at this stage
