The company I work for uses a metric ton of vocabulary cards and it seems impossible to keep them organized.
My current issue is finding a good way to bundle sets together for short-term storage. We usually use rubber bands, but they snap easily, melt to the cards in summer, and the kids grab them and play with them. One classroom I’ve been to uses binder clips, which work better, but do damage the cards somewhat and can be difficult to get onto the larger card sets.
Any ideas for alternatives? Especially ones that won’t break the bank.

Ziploc bags are a common one at my work. That way you can also label the bag to know what cards are in what. Or maybe those little plastic card boxes? Like these? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082X1PF3N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_20CV6064K90K6BMMAYKE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Or what about hole punching them & putting them on a binder ring?
I bundle cards with hair ties. You can buy bundles of them at Daiso. Stronger, nicer looking and they don’t melt. Then I keep the cards in those wall hanging pockets for accessories. But my boss doesn’t mind the pinholes in the wall. Your mileage may vary with that.
Knit elastic works well. Cheap and lasts about 12 months
Not sure how short-term your short-term storage is, but those wall hangers with pockets are good for accessing different bunches of cards during lessons themselves.
Also, the zippered pouches at 100 yen stores come in all different sizes and are good for traveling with the cards.
If you’re looking for a way to store them where you can easily access the ones you want, I recommend getting some kind of long container without a lid and putting dividers in between the groupings.
It gets so hot in summer that the rubber bands melt? That’s nuts.
