I have been studying at a language school for some time, but need to change to a different school. Will I face problems with immigration or other stuff? I still have enough time on my visa for the next semester.
I know if you have a working visa, you have 3 months to get a new job before you face deportation, does this same rule apply for student visas?

The moment you are “withdrawn” from the school, you are no longer allowed to be in Japan, you need to either switch to a tourist visa or find a school that will accept your application before the withdrawal is processed.
In general, transfer between schools in the same city is frowned upon and may result in a rejected application. You need to have a rather good reason, and you need all the paperwork from your current school. It’s not an easy process
