Transfer to ICU or…not?

For some background, I currently attend St. John’s University in Queens (NYC), and apart from the city being easily accessible I have found the staff to be rather unhelpful for just about everything & they do not offer study abroad anywhere in Asia. My career path is to be an ESL teacher anywhere in Asia, hopefully, first in Japan

I am really thinking about transferring to a different university and I’m wondering if ICU will be a good fit for my career. I’ve seen very mixed opinions on this university so I really have no idea anymore what I should do.

Based on my career path, do you think ICU is worth attending? Or will my US English degree and TESOL certification be better suited? Please help me LOL I am really struggling with this decision. I rushed my decision to attend SJU based on its location and now I have come to sliiightttlyyy regret it.

My midterm gpa this year was 3.66 on a 4.0 scale. I also was accepted into OleMiss and Wofford (and failed to get into UGA and Tulane, which I was 100% ready to commit to LOL sucks I guess).

please help T-T

  1. possibly look into the JET Programme… even with a degree unrelated to language, and from your current school, I’m pretty sure you’d be eligible. the only problem is the process is a bit tedious, but it’s another option to consider!
