I don’t know if it’s my problem or the keyboard’s problem, but i just cannot type certain characters using Apple Japanese romaji keyboard. For example, 上手jozu, if i type jozu in the keyboard this kanji don’t show up. Also using romaji i dont know how to change between katakana and hiragana. Anyone have similar problems when typing?

Try using the 3×4 Japanese keyboard instead. It’s easier and more convenient. It will help you in the long run!
Others have already mentioned that it’s Jouzu, it’s a long vowel.
I have an Android phone but FYI on my phone I had an issue where if I want to type づ, I have to type “du”. Took me a long time to figure out. There’s a lot of these little things to learn.
