5. Of course they will say there is “no need for a referendum”. Of course they are going to go by their own investigation where 52% of people said they wanted the Olympics just after the Tokyo Olympics concluded.

   What a horrible waste of billions of dollars. You think they would have learned by looking at the legacy of the Tokyo Olympics.

    Even though I know it’s not gonna happen, I’d like to see Sapporo winning the bid and then just not giving a fuck. No new stadiums, no flashy ceremonies, no athletes village, no renovations; just making do with what’s already there. Someone needs to put the IOC in their place after the Tokyo shitshow.
