Hello all, I am moving to Japan with Highly Skilled Professional Visa. The immigration provider submitted the application for COE on 12/1. I know they said 1-3 months is the estimated time to get it but I really need to move to Japan ASAP. Can anybody share their experience with this type of visa?

They’re right, and there’s no way to speed it up unfortunately. Current processing times average to just over a month, but it can vary widely. Hope for 2-3 weeks, prepare for 2-3 months. Don’t buy a plane ticket until you get it.
Do you have a passport that allows visa free entry to Japan for 90 days?
Apologies mine experience is maybe not going to be good news for you but it took about two months before they sent some clarifying questions. Then after confirming these points I received the COE in about 3 months.
It was frustrating but in the end there was nothing much you can do, apart from making sure they check in on a regular basis on the status.
Took about 2 months for mine.
