I just had a question about Luggage Forwarding or anyone’s experience with it when doing it Hotel to hotel.
Im staying at The B Ginza in Tokyo and I would like to have my luggage sent to my hotel in Koyto which is Hotel Resol Trinity
The B ginza says that
“Yamato TA-Q-BIN service is available, but only on cash on delivery(payment on the other end).
Please confirm with the hotels in Kyoto as they may not accept payment on delivery”
and I have just talked with Hotel Resol Trinity Kyoto that they do not accept delivery when it is Cash on delivery.
Is there a way around this, I should I just carry it on the Shinakensen (by booking baggage seat with my JR Pass) and drop it off at the hotel early so I can explore Kyoto prior to checkin.

thanks!

Yes, you can take the luggage on the shinkansen. Unless it’s oversized more than one bag (not counting day backpack/purse etc) it should even fit in the overhead compartment. You can still book a baggage seat for the peace of mind.
It’s just a bit more hassle.
You can also send luggage from a yamato office, although they don’t always speak english.

I agree. In that case, I think will be easier to bring by JR Pass 😊
You can go to the nearest Konbini and send from there.
