This is on par with the the destruction of the space shuttle Columbia in terms of global tragedy
Probably should put a spoiler tag on this.
I honestly wasn’t expecting Suzuki-gun of all things to make me emotional.
Nothing can last forever. Doing Sabre-gun sounded like a good idea, but without Suzuki and an aging faction with Kanemaru, Suzuki, TAKA and Archer, while the likes of ZSJ, Taichi and Despy become their own big thing it makes sense.
We won’t see another faction like it, no betrayals, no turns, they fought hard, fought each other in the ring harder but in the end were always together. I’ll miss their two themes.
I got to see them a lot of times for RevPro and NJPW, I’ll be seeing ZSJ this Saturday in London and it will be great to see his last match as Suzuki-gun.
A great faction with no gimmicks needed.
I know Suzuki said something to TAKA in this speech so I wonder why it was omitted in this translation
#ICHIBAN!
It sounds like Suzuki leaving. Perhaps he’s going to focus on his overseas booking more in the future instead of New Japan since he makes crazy bank off those bookings. Hopefully either Taichi or ZSJ create Sabre-Gun or Taichi-Gun out of this.
Suzuki-gun was far and away my favorite faction and has been for years. I will miss them dearly and be sad I never got to see them in person but be glad that they existed.
It’s been a good run.
I’m gutted, I’m interested in where all the members go from hear, can’t see them getting with the the main unit.

The source is not that facebook page. The source is the NJPW1972 website itself.
