Hi all, I’m planning a winter honeymoon trip for Feb, I’m working on the full itinerary but need advice on Shiga Kogen.
We are very keen to do some snowboarding. Being both beginners we saw Shiga Kogen as suitable for us as it was also close to Kusatsu Onsen (where we’re coming from) and is close to Jigokudani monkey park, another part we would like to see.
Looking at previous posts, it’s either stay on top near Shiga Kogan or at the base around Yudanaka onsen. Though if we wanted to knock off the monkey park early in the morning, is it best to stay at Yudanaka? We could probably have an entire day reserved for the Shiga Kogan if needed and are open to lessons. Where would I be able to find packages for gear hire and lessons?
