Hi,
It’s our first time going to Kyoto and Osaka (we are from Korea), and I just learned yesterday that businesses in Japan are mostly closed in the last week December, unlike Korea where it’s the peak of business. We booked out flight and hotel long ago before knowing this. So i was worried things like the markets, museum and castle may be closed as well.
If any of you have any information on the opening/closing of the below mentioned sights, or any additions to the itinerary, please let me know!

We both like
1) good food and drink
2) seeing cute things / traditional things
3) walk around and explore alleys

We do not really like structured / fixed travel schedules, but Im thinking that the below may be TOOO relaxed, since I assume some of the things below may be closed.
If anyone has any alternatives/additions, please please share! Much appreciated!

Smaller restaurants/shops may start closing around the 29th, but most of the closures will happen after the new years from 1st-3rd. Museums you have listed i’d check their websites to double check their hours.
