Hi everyone, going to Osaka this Christmas and I need help in planning our itinerary. Our dates are December 23-29 (arriving at night on the 23rd and leaving at night on the 29th). For reference, we will be staying near Shinsaibashi. Here is our draft itinerary:
Dec 23: Arriving around dinner time so we won’t be able to do much
Dec 24: Osaka city tour including umeda sky building or Abeno Harukas (restos highly recommend — my family loves wagyu and ramen)
Dec 25: Any suggestion for christmas activities? Would a day trip to Nabanano-sato and begonia garden be good or will it be too crowded? I absolutely dont wanna miss the lights tunnel!
Dec 26: Hirakata and Takatsuki (would really love to visit tsutaya books!) Any other suggestions in this place or surrounding area?
Dec 27: Day trip to kyoto – someone suggested in another thread to go to Yasaka Jinja or around Arashiyama. (transpo suggestions please)
Dec 28: Mitsui outlet park
Dec 29: Since this is our last day, we’ll probably just do some last minute shopping within Shinsaibashi or Doguyasuji area
Please please feel free to critique! What transpo would you recommend? I read that the kintetsu line pass is efficient for going to kyoto and nabanano-sato. Thank you in advance!

Since you’re staying at Shinsaibashi just take the subway to Namba station, there’s heaps of food choices there in the station. Or get out of the station and you’re right at Dotonburi. We walked along there last night and had a few different things.
