The iwgp junior heavyweight championship but I can’t think of any opponent
Definitely not Okada v Mox….
I don’t know that there is a better match out there than Okada v Jay White right now …
But, if I had my drothers, my dream outcome is for White to go over … which I don’t think anybody believes is going to happen.
…. And while Shingo can do it … he has to be rebuilt … they sacked his credibility at G1 … and while his feud with El P has been entertaining, it’s not worthy of a WK main event.
I would like to see what PAC, Pentagon and Fenix would look like in a NJPW ring in a feud with Suzuki-gun.
Ewwwwwww, I would very much go for Okada V Shingo or if they could make it make sense and work Okada vs Jake Lee
EDIT: Also having profile stalked OP, you very disturbingly have a profile dedicated to basically blowing Moxley, its very sad. You could at least superfan for a talented wrestler.
Don’t know about main event but I think we might see Naito vs Shooter.
Okada vs Bruno Sammartino.
The great beyond, the ultimate forbidden door.
EVIL vs Roman Reigns for his double champ
Rocky VS Taguchi Winner Takes All Coach Deathmatch
Okada vs Higuchi this year.
The big man has had an absolutely stellar year in his first run as champ including a match of the year candidate vs Takeshita. Okada could bring him to that next level.
~~Heel YOSHI-HASHI vs Okada, YOSHI-HASHI turns on Chaos after a heartbreaking loss to Okada on a challenge for the title forming the Headhunters faction, going on to have some midcard success winning the open or US title, eventually he wins the G1 but fails to capture the title on the dome, leading to him having a losing streak and soulsearching, Okada wins the G1 next year as champ and several wrestlers petition for him to choose them as challengers only for YOSHI-HASHI to convince him by offering a career vs title match, claiming if he can’t finally capture the title then he’d be satisfied ending his career as it started coming full circle: losing to Okada at Wrestle Kingdom. Will he ascend to the top of the mountain or end it all as he lived under Okada’s shadow? Tune in to find out!~~
Uh I dunno, I guess Okada vs a returning Nakamura would be cool, haven’t thought too deeply about it tbh.
Ospreay vs. Jake Lee for the US title or Okada vs. Miyahara for the world heavyweight title.
YOSHI-HASHI vs. Yoshitatsu for all the Yoshis.
This shook loose in my brain the fact that Okada and Mox were tag partners for a match back in 2020. The mega powers finally explode!
Title for title, Okada VS either Claudio Castagnoli or Okada vs Finn Bálor.
Ibushi returns and Double Turns with Jay
What if Okada wins on night 1 and drops it on night 2?
Isn’t it about time for the annual Ospreay/ZSJ match?
ooff
taichi squashing okada in 2 minutes
sabre vs danielson (save zack for cassidy at FB2)
If White is not turning babyface or going through some serious character change, he will be way too below. So we need an Ibushi return, and maybe a new leader to the Bullet Club. Either this, or White has to take his Switchblade to Alamodome in January 28
I think using Ospreay or Shingo would be the best for me for Wrestle Kingdom to take on Okada. Those two have had a good year and deserve the spot. No offense to Jay White but I don’t see it with him despite all the success he has had. He feels smaller than Okada whereas I felt like Ospreay was the youth legit threatening the spot trying to come up to Okada and Shingo was the guy who was hunting outside his normal grounds. However, for other events? Bryan Danielson vs. Okada would be sweet to build to for a Main Event. If they ran out of things for him (not likely as he is fantastic) but WALTER being in NJPW as a gaijin would be amazing for a long run.
But honestly, as long as there is a good story in the fight, I am up for most talent coming in and the match. I think NJPW has a very proven track record of making the most of sometimes roughly perceived situations. Case and point the early hate Giant Bernard had, the hate Lance Archer had, etc. These guys ended up being pretty good in Bernard’s case and now one of the most under-utilized Americans in Lance’s (imo).
Suzuki challenging for the title, give gramps the belt
A match between the guys who were supposed to be part of WK night III’s main event.
