Could I check if the following itinerary is feasible? I suspect some days are too packed and some days too sparse… should shift some days out of Osaka to spend more time at Hiroshima?
I hope I’ll be able to catch the flowers since the calendars indicate the peak bloom is around 27 March in the region.
19 Mar: arrive at Kansai airport 8.40am, make way to hotel to drop bags at concierge, nissin cup noodles museum , kuromon ichiba market, dotonbori at night (Gilco man)
Use KK day daily pass to travel each day till 25th Mar
20 Mar: Osaka castle (free with Osaka amazing pass), Shitenno-ji temple, shop in kita, consider two star Michelin Tenjinbashi Aoki?
21 Mar: wake up early to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine at 6am for sunrise, Osaka central wholesale fish market, explore Minami district or Kaiyukan aquarium and Tempozan Ferris wheel (free with Osaka amazing pass)
22 Mar: Minoo city/ waterfall (try momiji tempura), expo city (Ferris wheel here is free with Osaka amazing pass, and is the largest Ferris wheel on Japan), Abeno Hakuras building at night
23 Mar: Shinsekai, tsutenkaku tower, umeda sky building at night? Kiv
24 Mar: Nara park, Todaiji temple, teamlab botanical garden Osaka
25 Mar activate JR west 7 day pass, Himeji castle, Kobe fruit flower park, try Kobe beef
26 Mar: take Shinkansen to kyoto, drop luggage at hotel, Arashiyama bamboo forest, golden Kinkakuji , explore food at Nishiki market or pontocho?
27 Mar: fushimi inari Shrine, try the daifukus at the entrance of the shrine, Kiyomizudera
28 Mar: Wakayama castle, momijidani gardens, ohashirouka bridge, try ido Shoten ramen, Kimiidera temple?
29 Mar: take Shinkansen to Hiroshima, drop luggage at hotel, atomic bomb dome/ cenotaph, Hiroshima castle, try okonomiyaki and anago meshi
30 Mar: miyajima island, itsukushima shrine (try to go in the morning at sunrise?), Tahoto pagoda, Mitaki-Dera temple, senko-ji temple and park (ok too many I’ll need to pick a few of these only) bring slippers to walk up to shrine during low tide. Stay over at island as shrine is beautiful at night and more peaceful.
31 Mar: take Shinkansen back to Osaka, go to Kansai airport by 6pm
