Is there a better life to raise a family in Japan or Korea?

Hello, so a bit ago, I asked here where is a good place in Japan to raise kids (along with other subreddits about different countries, because I was just curious). Now, recently I was researching about the “main” countries in Asia, China, South Korea, and Japan, and talking out China, I thought “Where would there be a better life for raising a family?”, so I cam to here (and the r/korea subreddit) to ask this.

  1. Honestly, there is probably only a handful of people in this world who can answer this question objectively and you will get subjective answers from each country’s sub, from people who cannot answer this question objectively.

  2. “A better life” What does this mean to you? Why is your current situation not good enough for a better life? You aren’t going to find it in Japan, Korea, or China if you can’t find it in yourself. There are miserable people and happy people in all these places.

  3. I lived in Korea for first 17 years of my life before coming to U.S. My wife was born in Japan and spent significant part of her life in Japan, including college. Obviously both societies have its own set of problems, but I cant help but think Korea would be a worse off option these days.

Looking at the sky rocketing real estate prices and birth rates at < 1.0 (which is lowest of any developed nation) and everything being a competition in Korea the time you are born until you are dead, from these two choices I would have to go with Japan.
