Are there any setups that you use while watching anime that allows you to use yomichan to look up words from the subtitles. I know that you can use netflix etc for this and you dont need extra work but not every anime is on netflix etc.
Animelon has an option for manual highlight that let’s you use Yomichan. Anisub.tv let’s you use Yomichan. For others, I have being using [https://animebook.github.io](https://animebook.github.io) that allows you to put your own files and subtitles, than I have to download. If you have two screens or don’t care about alt + tab all the time, also have Potplayer that you can copy a word to clipboard by clicking on it.
The setup I use personally is with the video player [mpv](https://mpv.io), You can install a script called mpvacious that is able to copy paste the subtitles into the browser so you can use yomichan, You can also customize it more so you can create Anki cards with sentence audio in like 5 seconds
