Itinerary Check: April 5th to April 2st 2023 (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto)

Hi all,

This April I will be going to Japan for the first time together with my girlfriend. As this is our first trip to Japan, I would like some feedback on our trip. For context: we are in our mid 20s, both enjoy gaming, anime, manga, books in general and want to enjoy this trip together (no group vacation). We will probably visit a restaurant each day, so I won’t be adding those visits to each day. Suggestions of must-try dishes are welcome!

**Day 1 (April 5th):**

\- Take the plane to HND

**Day 2 (April 6th):**

\- Arrive at HND Airport at 9:45

\- Get JC-Railpass near airport

\- Take the shinkansen to Osaka. This seems counter-productive as we could also land at Osaka, but this would be much more expensive for us. So, we rather travel this distance at the start of our vacation.

\- Check-in at our hotel in Osaka and spend the rest of the day exploring the surroundings

  1. I will follow up as I have more time (in a meeting as I peck this message out). Please make sure to leave time for the Hanami (viewing of the cherry blossoms in Tokyo). Ueno park or Asakusa along the river. Sakura = cherry blossom flowers. BTW how important is the food scene to you??
