Hi all, I looked this up first but the threads I found on related topics were several years old, so I am posting a new topic.
I have a Kindle I bought here in Japan that is registered to my Amazon Japan account. There are some new releases in English that I’d love to buy, but there is like a 1200 yen or so difference comparing the prices of the same book on Amazon US and JP. Is it possible to somehow buy the book from Amazon US and have it on my Kindle?
I currently use the same email address for both Amazon accounts I have if it makes a difference (saw it mentioned in the old threads). Thank you!

AFAIK you cannot get digital content from the US account onto the Japanese one or vice versa. What you’re trying to do is exactly what Amazon and copyright restrictions are trying to prevent.
You can maybe buy a couple of titles on the US account, log into that on your Kindle, and download them while in Japan. But I foresee an email coming your way: hey, we noticed you’re in a different country and we now place you on the naughty step. You might be able to cheat the system with a VPN but I have never tried that. You’d probably need a paid service and then it’s a question of how much saving you’re still doing bottom line. Plus the hassle of having to switch accounts if you also have content over here.
No. Either you buy it in your Japan account, or you switch to your US account on your Kindle (losing access to your Japan books until you switch back).
How about using the Kindle app on a phone logged into Amazon US? Not ideal I know.
