I told a girl “anata wa daitsuki” (ik it’s wrong lol) and she replied “anata mo” what does it mean?

Isn’t it supposed to be “watashi mo” if she wanted to tell I like you too. What does anato mo mean in this case?

  1. watashi mo is slightly more ambiguous imo.

It’s like saying “I like sushi” and her saying “me too” -> you express ‘like’ for the same object. If she said watashi mo that could be like you saying ‘I like you’ and her saying ‘I like me too’.

By saying anata mo, she’s saying I like YOU too.
