In an apparently cliche move my fiance and I will be in Japan for our honeymoon in a couple months and was hoping someone with a bit more Japan expertise could sense check the days we have so far?
The only thing up in the air is saving 1 day for overnight Hakone after Tokyo or an extra day in Kyoto to spread things out a little more. We don’t really do drinking/partying nightlife so these trips are typically more about finding those unique experiences or taking in the #vibes.
* **Day 1) Tokyo**
* At hotel in Shibuya near station by 6:30pm
* Visit Shinjuku (Omoide Yokocho / Kabukicho) around dinner time
* **Day 2) Tokyo**
* Disney Sea
* **Day 3) Tokyo** just walking around:
* Harajuku
* Akhabara
* Shibuya
* (opted out of the go-kart thing because it actually seems a little daunting driving on the main streets but if someone has done it please let me know your thoughts).
* **Day 4) Tokyo – Kyoto**
* Morning at Tsukiji outer market
* Train to Kyoto (staying in Higashiyama area)
* Walk around Higashiyama
* Late afternoon Fushimi Inari Shrine
* **Day 5) Kyoto**
* Nishiki Market
* Gion
* Pontocho Alley
* Tea Ceremony somewhere
* **Day 6) Kyoto all day Arashiyama** *(will probably cut one or two of these as we get closer)*
* Monkey Park Iwatayama
* Bamboo groves
* Gioji Temple
* Saga-Toriimoto Preserved Street
* Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple
* (Sagano Scenic Railway?)
* **Day 7) Kyoto – Osaka**
* Nara in the morning/midday (Todaiji Temple + see the deer)
* Osaka in the afternoon
* Dotonbori that night
* **Day 8) Osaka**
* Universal Studios.
* Leave the next day for a weekend in Korea before returning home.
Even input on just a specific day or activity would be helpful, feel like I’m creating this in a bit of a vacuum and even though we usually have jam packed trips I’m not as confident in how to orchestrate this one while also going through wedding planning.
