Just discovered a collection of hundreds of VHS & DVD movies. Where can I get rid of these? Can they be disposed of via normal trash collection or do I need to do something special?

There should be guidelines on how to classify your garbage. It varies from town to town. If your town has a high-spec waste disposal facility, you can burn a wide variety of waste.

My local city’s waste management center has an “Eco Plaza” where residents can bring items for recycling or disposing of others in an eco-friendly manner. One of the items that is accepted is old CDs/DVDs/cassette tapes. Check with your city for similar facilities.
