Hey everyone! Going to Japan for the very first time and we’re really wanting to visit Taishakukyo Gorge. However, we’re a bit confused on how to navigate the area. I found a couple of hotels where we can stay the night which is great but do these hotels help book activities such as kayaking (super keen). The area also doesn’t have a train line so we do need to get a bus from hiroshima. Is this covered by the jr pass? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It’s not covered by JR Pass. Both Bihoku and Hiroshima Kotsu fares can be paid with 10 common IC cards though.
Car is best. Unless you speak Japanese you’ll have a hard time finding a hotel in the area that you can even communicate with, let alone book anything for you. The area is rural and doesn’t have so many foreign tourists.
