My friend in uni has been looking for a job for half a year but hasn’t been able to get one.

To give context, my friend (Middle Eastern) has been searching and applying for jobs for the past 6 months and hasn’t been accepted by any of them. All of them were restaurants, anywhere looking for part time workers, and even our university, but none of them would hire him, so he decided to try applying for an online English speaking tutor (DMM) and the auto-reply system said that they are unable to hire him because of “certain restrictions imposed by our bank on payments made to certain nationalities.” He is extremely pissed off because this is just blatant racism, as he is Middle Eastern. In fact, we believe that most of the places he has applied to are rejecting him for this reason.

I know this isn’t a question, but he wanted his frustrations to be heard by people.

  1. If in Tokyo and can access Shibuya or Minato-ku then your friend should try out “Falafel brothers” . They are looking for part-timers.

  2. That is Japan! Racist fucks pretending to be nice…

To the downvoters: Deal with the truth even if it is hard to swallow

  3. He knew that before he went to Japan. I’m not saying it’s ok, but we all know that, and he chose to go anyways.
