Working Holiday/Temporary Academic Position for Physician

I am a pediatric subspecialist physician. When I interviewed for Residency, one Children’s Hospital/Medical School had a relationship with a Japanese Medical School that involved teaching Japanese Medical Students and Residents medicine in English and discussing how medicine is practiced in the USA for 2-4 weeks each year.

Unfortunately I did not end up going to that Hospital for Residency and I’m trying to find out how I might establish a similar relationship between the hospital where I eventually work (I’ll know where in about a year) and a Japanese Medical School.

Does anyone have an idea where to start with that? I haven’t heard back from the doctor at the other school who is in charge of the exchange relationship yet, btw.

Other pertinent things:

I am fluent in Japanese, but not in medical terminology (seems easy enough to pick up a few hundred more words if I figure this out).

I lived near Osaka and Tokyo before, so those areas would be ideal. They also seem most likely to have multiple medical schools, so…convenient.

Thanks
