Hi all, I was wondering if it’s common to have to give an image of your debit card in order to receive a refund? I accidentally overpaid school tuition, so they want to refund me.
They asked for my bank account info (normal) and a pdf of my debit card. The email is from the school, so it’s not that suspicious but I wanted to make sure that this is a normal thing for them to ask.

Hmm, I think I’ve heard of people asking for a picture of your CASH CARD (which is sometimes also a debit card) but I’ve never quite understood why it’s necessary.
I assume it has to do with verifying the account information.
