Mainly eastern side of Tokyo AFAIK, but Yanaka Coffee is my go-to. You can order online as well.
Not really **north** of Shinjuku, but you can drop by Murrma Coffee Stop in Hatagaya as well as All Seasons Coffee in Shinjuku, they both are solid roasters that also serve some nice brews.
