2-Week Tokyo/Hakone Itinerary Check (Feb 13th-27th)

Hi friends, I’m a long time lurker of this sub and was hoping for an itinerary check before my trip. I already incorporated lots of advice taken from here so thank-you! For background, we’re a group of 5 uni friends from Sydney. We’re all pretty into anime, tech, games and love japanese food 🙂 We don’t want an overly structured or packed trip so I just picked a general area each day for us to explore (with some suggestions). Also included some free days where we go off to do our own thing.

Not related to the itinerary but I’ll be using Japan Experience 16-day SIM and Southern Cross Travel Insurance, any advice on either would also be welcome.

  1. I just booked my flight to Tokyo an hour ago for the exact dates!

A friend asked me today and I just decided on a whim to go, so I have to do my research.

What you have here looks interesting, so I’m getting ideas! Thanks!

  2. I’d put two at most 3 days to getting around to sites in Tokyo and spend more time in other locations ie longer in Hakone.

If you are in Tokyo, cannot recommend Yakiton Saitamaya enough. No cameras no phones. No exceptions
