  1. Where I lived in Shizuoka, in my local supermarket, every lane was the slow lane. Gotta count those pennies at the checkout

  2. today when i was gonna pay for a bunch of flower i bought in the flower/plant section of the supermarket, an old lady was there slowly trying to pay for her purchase. i don’t mind waiting but she seem to have been startled by my presence and it took her more time to get the coins from her purse. now that i think of it, i probably should have look around on the display and let her finish first so that it won’t seem to her that she’s making gaijin-san wait.
