No. It has way too much heat from above and not enough heat at the bottom. It’s great as a generic grill though and foods requiring grill are great.
not a good idea beyond toasting sandwich bread
I’ve made decent pizza in a low-lipped pan designed to fit in the fish grill. Otherwise, I doubt that you could get bread to rise and bake properly without the outside crust becoming a burnt mess. I’ve had success making bread and focaccia in the microwave/oven combo typically found in Japanese kitchens.
I use it all the time to grill chicken thighs. Cleaning is a bit of a pain but comes out great!
Can’t share links on this sub, but if you Google Rinnai グリル クッキー you’ll see cookies recipes for the fish grill advertised by one of them grill manufacturer.
They may have a few more recipes. But I doubt you can do anything other than cookies and maybe pita breads. Also likely need a nice grill with decent heat control otherwise it will all burn.
forget it. The max you can do is a fast pizza toast
We have this hot plate thing with a lid for the grill (“cocotte plate”) and cookies and rather thin focaccia are possible.
I bake using [this](https://amzn.asia/d/hYZr2Q6) oven but have the one that goes to 350°. You can pretty much use it to make anything you’d make in a western sized oven.
