  1. Suddenly all the times I’ve skipped my Japanese practice have come back to haunt me

  2. Edit: English list is up here: https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/fna/page4e_001053.html#title28

~~From June/1 people will be split into Red/Yellow/Blue groups based on the country they came from. See the breakdown of requirements for each group here:~~ [~~https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/cp/page22e_000925.html~~](https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/cp/page22e_000925.html)

~~Unfortunately, no official English page for the country list (~~[~~https://www.anzen.mofa.go.jp/covid19/pdf2/0526_list.pdf~~](https://www.anzen.mofa.go.jp/covid19/pdf2/0526_list.pdf)~~) yet, but from a little bit of Google translate it is:~~

  3. English version should be coming up soon, but in the meantime I don’t see anything too out of the ordinary.
Perhaps the classification of Russia as green but Ukraine as yellow is writes but that’s probably based purely on COVID numbers

  4. The yellow and blue lists are basically the same for triple-vaxxed folks.

  5. So, basically, if we buy a ticket to Japan after June 10th, you’ll for sure be able to get in? I’m worried about the “daily cap international travelers” thing

  6. Blue category only requires negative test 72 hours before travel. No post-arrival tests or quarantines.

US and Canada are both blue.

  7. What’s with the no/yes being in the same section.

    I.e. blue countries.
So they need a vaccination certificate or not

  8. Just open the borders properly already. I’m vaxxed 3 times soon to be four times and have a wallet full of money I want to spend in your country🤦‍♂️

  9. One of the oddest “combos” on that ist is that the Vatican and San Marino are yellow, but Italy is blue….

  10. Welp. Happy I’m going to Kyoto on Sunday. And Osaka. Time to see one last look at non tourist covered Japan.

  11. Imagine coming back on the 29th from a blue country and having a full quarantine + a 5h wait at the airport. How funny that would be hahaha…

  12. Glad to see mRNA-free people like me are allowed in Japan without any form of discrimination 🙂

  13. I’m arriving on May 31st from blue country… I wonder whether I will have to quarantine just one day or full 3/7 days (as I don’t have 3 shots)

  14. Can someone clarify… if you’re from a Blue country, you don’t need a vaccine certificate or quarantine if you have a negative test 72 hours prior? Reason I ask is my wife is vaccinated but my 4 year old daughter is not. If they are to visit me in Japan I am curious what restriction my daughter will face if any

  15. does anyone know which packaged tours are eligible for tourists to get entry with? Is there a list that they used for the trial group?

  16. Quick question. I have a visa so I should be ok to fly in. But I’m an American flying from USA to Singapore for a week then flying to Japan after. Would I need 72 hour pcr test from Singapore or is it not required? I couldn’t find the information related to flying from Singapore. Thanks in advance

  17. I wonder how this will affect prices now people can be confident on visiting. Because the prices for next march seem very high atm.
