The first two years of the past 5 years the PR evaluators look at, our largest customers was caught in a falsified data scandal. My work had nothing to do with the scandal but the loss in sales meant really low pay for those two years. (about 334万 each year) It is still above the minimum threshold for PR for a single person. Now that I’m newly married for 2023, the minimum income would be 380万, which I clear easily with the most recent 3 years. My concern is rejection of the PR application for the low pay on year 1 and 2, even though I wasn’t married at that time. Local attorney suggested it’s not likely but ultimately up to the discretion of the evaluator. (teeth suck for emphasis) So my question is have any of you been denied PR due to not meeting the raised minimum income requirements retroactively after marriage?

I thought it was only 3 years of data for PR from a spouse visa…? Just wait a little longer or switch to a spouse visa first, maybe make things easier on yourself.
