I understand getting measured is a pretty standard service and there is no shortage of men’s formal wear stores in Tokyo, however I’m interested to know if there is any particular store(s) or ‘go-to’ retail chain that anyone can recommend for affordable to mid-range priced formal shirts / ties?
(Anything similar to Marks & Spencer in the UK?) FYI am looking for options tailored to younger men including ‘slim fit’ sized shirts. Any suggestions are welcome.

Not quite what you’re asking about, but I’ve found [Uniqlo’s “custom order”](https://www.uniqlo.com/jp/ja/spl/uniqlo-custom-order/men/shirts) reasonably priced for shirts that fit me well…
(sadly, they only have 2 colors…; white, and light blue)
I’ve gotten a few from [here](https://www.global-style.jp/lineup/shirt/) in the past and didn’t have any particular complaints.
Kamakura shirts
Not quite sure what your standard for “mid-range” is, but I got shirts made at Takashimaya and was quite satisfied. I got them at the “Style Order Salon”, which has a nice range of pretty standard made-to-measure suits and shirts. They also have higher end bespoke items, but I haven’t used these.
For reference, they start at about 10,000 and then can cost more if you pick fancier fabric or other options. I found it to be a pretty good balance of quality, price, service, and convenience.
Most department stores have a made to measure section. The cheaper places will have deals starting around 2 shirts for 14,000, and the sky’s the limit on the fanciest choices (but once I see the 30,000+ price tag for one shirt I lose interest, so I don’t have a lot of insight or experience).
Most places that make order suits also have shirt offerings.
