Does Wise Card work in Japan at the moment?

Hi, I noticed that my Wise (multi currency card) is issued in Canada as a VISA card.

I think Japan recently had got a new security network system so a lot of foreign cards don’t work for online purchases/topping up transit cards.

Was wondering if anyone had trouble using wise for atm withdrawals or in person purchases in Japan (with a wise card issued in a country other than Japan)

  2. I used mine last month all the time and had zero problem. I could even pay contactless. Worked in a convivience store ATM too.
