What address to put when booking a flight?

Hello everyone. Idk what to do.
I have a residence card in Japan for 1 year and 3 months. It expires in November.
I am going to Vietnam next month and I am trying to book the ticket. I am booking with Vietjet. It asks for my date of birth, then it says: country. Then I have to put my address. I have no clue if the country is supposed to be the passport’s country or not.
Anyway, I have no clue whether to write my French address like in my passport or the address I actually live at, which is in Japan. I can show my zairyuu card. Will that be recognised by Vietnam border agents?
Asking for people’s experiences.

  1. I flew with Vietjet a few times and has always filled that with my address in Japan. I never had any issue.

  2. This is the first time I am seeing an airline is asking for address (other than the billing purpose), but for all my previous travels, if I am being asked I just put the one I am living, and who’s gonna care about your expiry of residence card? Immigration only cares about your passport having > 6 months validity and return ticket (or any means of leaving country)
