Like in theory it would, but on the net circulate opinions, that are hmmm fear triggers let’s say. So maybe someone know answer from personal experience?
Edit: lovely, I made a grammar mistake in the title (-.-‘)
Since iPhones bought in the US and EU work with Japanese sim cards, I would assume one bought in Korea should work too, if that info helps to reassure you while waiting for someone who knows for sure!
I have a 4 or 5-year old Samsung Galaxy. It works. I got the first SIM card (a temporary one) at the airport, and the vendor had to change a whole bunch of settings to make it work. They know what to do cause it happens so often.
When I went back to Korea recently to visit friends, I didn’t have to change any settings at all to use a temporary Korean SIM card.
All this being said, just because it worked for me doesn’t mean it will work for you. Also, I have no idea what settings they changed or how. It was a multi-step process. You can probably look it up.
