Isn’t it funny how in this sub, the fast majority of posts have more comments than upvotes

I believe they call this the “ratio” on twitter. Why is the most mondaine stuff so controversial on here ?

  1. Honest answer? Because I feel that just a minority of foreigners deserve to be and a lot of posts within this community engage that viewpoint.

  2. Doesn’t indicate controversy at all. Most posts here are asking a question or otherwise inviting a discussion of some kind. When I see a post, if I have something to say I will say it and then move on. If I have nothing to add I’ll mostly just move to the next post. In neither case will I bother upvoting or downvoting (for the most part).

  3. I actually never upvote posts for some reason. I upvote comments a lot but rarely the actual post… no hard feelings in it though!

  4. We had a guy asking how to repair his electric toilet and not even telling the brand/model number…

Another asking if he will like eating fish sperm (how do you even know the answer to that, just eat it and try it…)

Had another one saying Japanese people don’t eat ketchup with their French Fries….

I mean really…. like c’mon. At least those were funnier than this post.

The ~~fast~~ vast majority of these ~~mondaine~~ mundane posts are hilariously funny, and if I did stand up comedy would provide endless material.
