I’m planning to invite my parents to come to Japan for the first time and visit me for about a month. My parents’ main purpose is only to see me and have no special purpose in particular.
In the list of necessary documents, there is “Letter of reason for invitation”, which requires explanation of the purpose of visiting.
If I simply put the reason as my parents want to visit me, what’s the chance we can get the visa?

Dude what? They don’t need a visa to visit Japan if they’re from a visa waiver country. Japan has been open to tourism for months.
Hello
They will get the visa 100% if you show your bank balance supporting you are stable and can support their visit. I have done the same multiple times.
Whats their nationality? That’ll help us give you an answer.
Can’t they come on normal tourist visa? Our parents (from Europe) just did that. I believe relatives visit visa is for cases when you e.g. have a baby and want them stay longer than 3 months (and you’d state that in letter of reason)
I got this visa type for my parents back when the rules were stricter. I just put “family visit” for the reason.
