Hello. I will be going to Hakone from Tokyo.
I wasnt sure wether I should stay around Hakone or Mt Fuji.
I settled for Hakone but if the weather allows mt fuji to be seen I will take my chances and hop on a train to get there.
So all in all my itinerary looks like this:
HAKONE
DAY 1 – arrive from tokyo, go to ryokan, sightseeing, dinner, go back to ryokan
Day 2 – wake up super early and get train to fuji village if the weather is good. If not stay at hakone and go sightsee
Day 3 – if i dont manage to go to fuji village, leave hakone and go to nagoya / if I manage to go to fuji village, I will leave hakone mid afternoon
Does this make sense

This is slightly off tangent. A big reason for staying at a ryokan is for the dinner. Obviously, you don’t have to and it costs more but I feel that’s part of the experience.
