In 2016, on a day trip from Osaka, I visited a soba restaurant in the small town of Arima (?). The name was in Japanese, the logo had 3 ducks & seems go be popular because there was a queue even before the restaurant opened. I’m wondering if anyone knows the restaurant name? I tried googling “3 ducks soba japan” to no avail.

This is just a question of making better Google search.
Reading the post, you are looking for a “popular soba restaurant in Arima”. And if you search exactly for that in Google, most if not all have the same result, or top 10 restaurant in town. The other option is just to search for “soba” near Arima in Maps and look at the picture.
The problem with your search keywords is that Japan is much wider than Arima. Second, the logo might help you to confirm, but way less likely that someone will write about it.

I’m not sure if you used google maps then, but my google timeline still shows where I was in Japan on what days in 2018, so you could also try that. I used that to bookmark certain restaurants I wanna revisit.
