How to use on-screen keyboard for Japanese?

My JKL keys don’t work on my keyboard so I have to use an on-screen one, but when I use the Microsoft IME and try to type say Ka, or Ja I get Kあ and that really annoys me, and I don’t have any idea as to how to fix it.

  1. Are you actually trying it as “Ka” or “ka” ? Upper case might be causing problems.

There should also be an option for a kana keyboard that has the hiragana instead of the roman alphabet, so using that would work I imagine.

  2. Your JKL keys don’t work? A keyboard is like 10 dollars, or, if you go to a PC repair shop they might even just give you some old keyboard they have lying around
