What are the least modernized towns in japan?
To preface this query, my brother works with a lot of amish people at his day job. The subject came up, of equivalent cultures around the world that reject modern technology and live in a more primative way. I have to imagine there’s an amish-like demographic in some small village somewhere in japan but I haven’t heard of anything.
Has anyone else?

I would put my two cents in a village located in Hokkaido called Nibutani
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nibutani
where the residents are predominantly from Ainu ancestry, one of of the few remaining indigenous people of Japan.
I haven’t either, after being raised and living in Japan for decades.
